The 8th annual Lopes Premier Soccer Camp came to a conclusion yesterday evening with over 60 campers attending the 4 day camp. The most talked about session was lead by Girls Assistant coach, Emil Erhart, and was a shielding session where the players learned different ways to keep the ball away from defenders. Over the four days, the campers learned various technical skills and were able to demonstrate them in the small sided games each evening. One of the boys, our youngest camper, Daniel Douds, was quoted as saying, “Is this the last night?, I don’t want it to end.”
We are very thankful to Goodfella’s Deli and Drafthouse for the sponsorship this year. A great time was had by all and we look forward to seeing many of the campers at the high school games this fall where the campers will certainly be cheering on their high school player coaches from the camp.
